North Texas has been the backdrop for much of the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s hit oil drama, Landman. Here’s a look at some of the season’s local ties before its 10th and final episode drops on Paramount+ on Jan. 18.

Episode 6: ‘Dark Night of the Soul’

Country musician Vincent Neil Emerson, who has lived in Fort Worth, has his song “Hang Your Head Down Low” play over a montage of scenes from a bustling oil convention. Cooper and Angela later discuss buying an engagement ring for Cooper’s girlfriend, Ariana (Paulina Chávez). Angela at first suggests a trip to North Texas jewelers Bachendorf’s and Sue Gragg before offering her own ring. Later, Tommy and his father, T.L. (Sam Elliott), visit the Fort Worth Stockyards and talk about the cattle drive before Tommy meets Cami and Gallino at the city’s W.R. Watt Arena.
